Read the text aloud like you're auditioning for the role of your life — or like you're reading to your grandmother and a six-year-old, and the fate of the world depends on them getting every word.

Use your full voice: volume, intonation, emotion — even your hands. Nobody warms up quietly.

Hold that energy the whole time. The instant your voice wants to fade to a murmur is exactly when this starts working.
Why it matters: your voice always decays toward a murmur when you read alone — that's normal. Fighting that decay, on purpose, is what makes saying it work.
